25 Miles in Harpers Ferry, WV
We did it!!
the National Concerns of Police Survivors
for the 10th Annual COPS WALK Harpers Ferry. Together, we will bring
survivors, friends and the law enforcement community together to support
Concerns of Police Survivors’ Hands-On Programs.
Hands-On Programs include retreats for peer support and grief counseling
for co-workers, spouses, parents, siblings, significant others and
adult children and in-laws of officers killed in the line of duty.
C.O.P.S. Kids and Teens programs include C.O.P.S. Kids Camp and Outward
Bound for the children of our fallen heroes.
journey will take walkers along the scenic C&O Canal. The goal is to raise funds so C.O.P.S. can
continue helping to rebuild the shattered lives of those who lost a loved one
in the line of duty. The walk provides a physical challenge and the opportunity
to spend time with other survivors and friends walking in memory of loved ones.
Each year, between 140 and 180 officers are killed in the line of duty and
their families and co-workers are left to cope with the tragic loss. C.O.P.S.
provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered lives. There is no
membership fee to join C.O.P.S., for the price paid is already too high. COPS
WALK events support these free Hands-On Programs.
